The reporter learned from a recent UAV overlook that the construction of Pier 5 of the grand bridge across the Jianghan Canal, an along-river first-class highway, is now in full swing.

Pier 5 has been built to Segment 7, officially entering the construction of the first bunch of stay cables. Pier 6 on the east bank of the Jianghan Canal is in the process of binding steel bars and installing the embedded pipes of the stay cables in this segment. It is expected that concrete will be poured on June 20. After pouring, Pier 5 and Pier 6 will enter a new stage of construction.
